INO’s private vineyard

In the facilities of INO, that are located in the Charaintini area of Thebes, in a unique ecological environment in an altitude of 250 m, lies INO’s private vineyard of 12 acres. The greater plan of this experimental vineyard was the acclimatization in this area of French and Italian varieties that offer quality wines in their regions of origin. The varieties that are being cultivated are:

-Chardonnay
-Sauvignon Blanc
-Cabernet Sauvignon
-Cabernet Franc
-Mourverde
-Grenache Blanc
-Aglianico
-Grenanico Dorato
-Greco Di Tufo

The wines that are produced from these varieties are:

-INO Chardonnay,
-INO Sauvignon Blanc και
-ΙΝΟ Cabernet Sauvignon,

while the rest of them are participating in the production of other Local Wines.

These varieties are being cultivated with the care and the desire of INO’s enologists and agriculturists. The winemaking process takes place in INO’s modern facilities under the constant observation of the enologists that supervise the zymolysis and the production of qualitatively excellent wine.

The reward of INO’s efforts came soon. INO’s “Chardonnay” of 2003-2004 vintage won the silver prize in the national competition “Chardonnay du monde 2004”. INO’s Chardonnay is a characteristic example of the personal care and the emphasis in the quality that INO provides in all her products.

The vineyards of INO’s members

INO counts on her 1500 members, families of experienced grape-growers of the larger area of Viotia. The art of grape growing passes on from one generation to the next like a baton, for many centuries now.

The grape-growers have secure distribution of their grapes, providing INO with the possibility to have a stable and permanent relation with all the vineyards of her members, a total of over 2470 acres. This relation, allows her to preserve the quality of her products while it also provides her the ability to improve this quality by applying special methods of grape growing.

As we see, the harmonic function of the chain “grape – wine-grower – wine making facility – winemaker – market ” is accomplished, a fact that ensures the best of the conditions for the development of the wine-growing process.
